The Enlarged General Council (EGC) has begun on Tuesday, 13 September 2016 in the General House of SSCC brothers on Via Rivarone, 85. It consists of the General Government and the 16 Major Superiors (Provincials and Vice Provincials) of the Congregation.
At 14:30 the meeting was opened with a prayer and a welcome by Javier Álvarez-Ossorio sscc, along with explanations for the smooth running of the meeting and the use of the house. Emperatriz Arrobo sscc, Superior General of the sisters, who participates in the CGA in full also gave a few words.
After that there was a celebration of the Eucharist, presided over by Camille Sapu sscc, the Vicar General.
As you know from the last INFO 105, the main themes on the agenda will be:
1. Evaluation of the action of the General Government and of the life of the Major Communities.
2. Evaluation of the international community of Louvain and decision about its future.
3. Ongoing formation of the Major Superior on the theme of reparative adoration.
4. Preparation of the 2018 General Chapter: agenda, how to do the preparation, make a proposal for the method of electing the General Councilors.
Let us remember in prayer for this EGC, which is a privileged occasion to experience the international and multicultural character of the Congregation.
