On November 16, for the seventh consecutive year, under the theme: "Delicious being Solidary", the community of the St. Michael church and “Damian Today” project in Leuven, celebrated the Night of Solidarity.
Over two hundred people enjoyed the gastronomic delights of Colombia, Chile, India, Bolivia, Mexico, Peru, Curacao, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Brazil, Spain and Argentina, as well as a wide range of desserts.
In previous years we had been with Nicaragua, Venezuela and Poland. The evening was animated by a tropical dance workshop, Bolivian music and the Tuna of Maastricht.
The purpose of the evening was to help Claudina Thevenet Orphanage in Cochabamba, Bolivia. The cold of the night and the economic crisis did not hamper the solidarity and the desire to share a night of friendship.
We agreed to meet again on the third Saturday of November 2014. That day, in the Damian center we prove that being solidary is delicious.
