Inauguration of a New Tuition Free Center (Non-Formal Education Center) in Cuttack (Odisha, INDIA)

Education is the back bone of our society today. Damien Social Development Institute (DSDI) has been striving to bring this change and transformation into the lives of people and society through its educational activities. On July 1st DSDI was happy to inaugurate a new Tuition Free Center at Jagannath Road, Cuttack. This site is located in between Gandhipalli and Nehrupalli Leprosy colonies  in Cuttack, where for many years DSDI has been actively involved in the lives of the people.  This educational program is meant for poor and needy children who cannot afford to access paid tuition nor even formal education in some cases.

Fr. Stephen Banjare sscc, DSDI Director

DSDI is running and managing 16 Tuition Free Centers (non-formal education centers) in various villages and slums of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack,  as well as in West Bengal.  There are more than 450 students at present benefiting from this program.
