Various meetings of the Conference of Asia and French Polynesia (CAP) are being held in our house in Tomobe, Japan. The treasurers met February 21-22 with Ed Popish, General Treasurer. The assembly of CAP met from the 23 to the 26. Participating were superiors, delegates, commission coordinators and Aurora Laguarda Major Superior of Asia representing the sisters. Also present were Javier, the Superior General and his vicar, Richard McNally.
The CAP Executive is meeting February 27 and 28. Only the superiors are present for that.
The assembly finished with a meeting with all the brothers in Japan on the 26th (photo). The topic of the meeting was the plan to create a new major community uniting Japan and the Philippines. After consultation and with the consensus of the CAP assembly, the process will now begin to establish the new community which will be erected next year.
