This year the crypt of Father Damien was included in the festival of worship Venite Adoremus, an initiative of the Archdiocese of Mechelen-Brussels.
During the evening of Thursday 21 November 21 until the morning of Friday 22 November, various groups and individuals on their 
own initiative were present to adore the Blessed Sacrament.
Some excerpts from the letters of Father Damien, on his practice of adoration were offered to the attendees as inspiration.
The festival will close by the end of November with a celebration at the Basilica of Koekelberg, where Fr. Damien was beatified.
