From September 1st to the 30th Alicia Mamani and Brigid Falahee are in Chile for the Canonical Visit.
Chile is a big province with 58 sisters in 10 communities and the interprovincial novitiate which has four novices.
The province has four colleges and our sisters are involved in a variety of other ministries as well.
This is a particularly good time to be in Chile as the country celebrates its bicentenary with great enthusiasm. The country is a blaze of colour with flags and decorations, music and dance.
In the south there are still signs of the awful February earthquake and our sisters and staff in San Javier are valiant in their efforts to cope with the aftermath of the earthquake and on Sept 16th the students and staff put on a splendid display of folkloric dance and song inspired by the bicentary celebration.
