On August 25, the annual meeting of brothers, sisters and secular branch members of Spain, interrupted in previous years by the pandemic, was held at the Casa San José in El Escorial (Spain).
A total of 80 participants, led by Nacho Domínguez sscc, discussed the theme of vocation. In addition to time for prayer, the assembly was presented with some questions: What helped you to discover your vocation? What helps you to take care of it? What is helpful for our young people?
The assembly listened to testimonies from Gemma Ortiz, from the Secular Branch, Beatriz Garcia sscc, Alberto Gaitan sscc and Ignacio Lopez, a former student who spent some time with the community of Martin de los Heros (Madrid). During the assembly, some important elements for vocation were highlighted: the value of witness, accompaniment, listening, commitment and service.
Also present was the magician Luigi, linked to the Virgen del Camino Parish, who performed some amusing magic tricks. The meeting culminated with the celebration of the Eucharist, in which Nacho Domínguez recalled the call to holiness and how a vocation is something for everyone and for life.
