Last weekend we had several professions in the Congregation. On Friday 10, in Asunción (Paraguay) Armín Pérez Díaz made his first profession. On Saturday 11, in Serampore, near Calcutta (India), Ajit Baliar made his perpetual profession and the next day he received the diaconate. On Sunday 12, in Lima (Peru), Germán Huanca Flores made his final vows and Julio Chambilla his first profession.
On Sunday January 12. Bro. Germán Huanca Flores made his perpetual profession in the Church of the Sacred Hearts Recoleta, in downtown Lima, after nine years of initial formation in the Province of Peru. Meanwhile, brother Julio Chambilla Huanca professed temporary vows, after having made his novitiate last year in Chile.
Both were accompanied by their family members who came from the region of Puno (Peru) and the city of El Alto (Bolivia), along with friends of the Congregation. After the Eucharist, a lunch was offered in the premises of the convent. Germán will join the new community that will attend the Parish of Our Lady of Peace in San Juan de Lurigancho. Julio will return to Chile to continue his studies.
On Saturday January 18, will be the first profession of Edmar Aparecido de Oliveira (Brazil) and on January 31 will also made their first profession Atilio Pizarro and Rafael García Palomer Lobos (Chile).

Ajit Baliar Singh sscc was born in 1978 and entered in the Congregation as a candidate in year 2001.
He made his 1stprofession in the year 2010, followed by 3 & ½ years study of Theology.
At Immaculate Conception Church, Serampure, (Kolkatta, India), on January 11, he made his vows in the hands of the Regional Superior, Fr. Sudhir Nayak,ss.cc. Ajit’s family was present along with SS.CC. brothers and sisters. On January 12, he was ordained as deacon by Archbishop Thomas D’ Souza of Calcutta Archdiocese. Since it was Sunday, the whole parish community were present; after the ordination there were cultural programmes and felicitation for the newly ordained deacon prepared and performed by the parishioners, followed by a sumptuous fellowship meal for all the participants.
There were more than 200 participants on the second day celebration. Ajit says, “I am glad to become the full member of the Congregation to journey and work for the SS.CC. Mission. It is also my great privilege to thank all of our Brothers, Sisters, Relatives and Friends making this event memorable one”. He is the 20th Indian brother to make his perpetual profession and diaconate ordination.
