Fr. Larry CRAIG (Japan) who had been hospitalised more than one month, returned to our Lord on the 9th of May. He was 90. Larry was one of the first three SS.CC. missionaries who came to Japan from the East Coast in 1949.
At that time there wasn't any Japanese school for non-Japanese missioners or business people. Even though his listening and speaking abilities weren't very good, people liked to come to him and learn about Christianity. It was a very fruitful period for the Japanese church. He was the first SSCC Superior in Japan and built Tomobe monastery.
