This Sunday, May 18, the Church lives a historic moment with the official beginning of the Petrine ministry of Pope Leo XIV. The ceremony, which will take place in St. Peter’s Square, will begin with the presentation of the pallium and the Fisherman’s Ring—visible signs of the pastoral service of the new Successor of Peter and his bond with the universal Church.
In communion with the entire Church, the SSCC brothers and sisters of Rome will also participate in the celebration, bringing with them, in spirit, the rest of the Congregation to St. Peter’s Square. Their presence is a sign of the prayerful and fraternal closeness of so many consecrated men and women to the new Pope.
