The Heart of Jesus crosses borders and generations (Andean Province)

The March–April 2025 edition of Nuestra Familia, the newsletter of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts, once again places the Heart of Jesus at the center of Christian life and mission. With a testimonial, spiritual, and communal approach, this edition highlights how the spirituality of the Heart is lived in the world’s peripheries, where tenderness and hope remain living signs of the Gospel, as reflected in the article by Sr. Aurora Laguarda sscc. From stories of religious life to jubilee celebrations—such as the ordination of Fr. Luis Ángel Nole, sscc—each page invites readers to rekindle their faith in a wounded world.

The bulletin includes an article by the Postulator General, Fr. Andrzej Lukawski sscc, on Fr. Mateo Crawley-Boevey and his missionary zeal. He emphasizes the impact of Fr. Mateo’s preaching—simple yet passionate—and the apostolic strength that sprang from his intimate union with Christ. “One must speak of Love with love,” Fr. Mateo used to say, convinced that true apostolate is born of offered suffering and a heart on fire. His life and work continue to be a present-day light for a Church that goes forth, desiring that Jesus, the King of Love, be known and loved by all.
