On October 3, 1965 Sisters Pura Concepción Fernández, Teodora Lucio y Margarita María Fernández arrived in Asunción, Paraguay. Since that day, the sisters have been entirely dedicated to witness the Love of God, especially to the little ones. To celebrate the Golden Jubilee, the Province dressed up for a gala. On Friday night, Oct. 2nd there was a festival with the participation of different groups coming from the different places where the Sisters are located: The "Recycled Orchestra” and the group of Youth Ministry from “El Bañado Sur” Asuncion, the choir of teachers and students of the College of Presidente Franco and Villa Victoria College of Asuncion. The latter performed a musical skit re-telling the history of the Congregation from their arrival until today.
On Saturday, Oct. 3rd the Eucharist of Thanksgiving was celebrated at Sacred Hearts Parish, once founded by the brothers and now in the hands of the diocese. It was a simple and familiar celebration in which were given thanks for all the blessings received during these fifty years of service and dedication of the Congregation in Paraguayan lands. At the end there was a toast with all the "Large Sacred Hearts Family" of Paraguay.
