SS.CC. HAWAI’I CELEBRATES THE NEW YEAR
“Should old acquaintance be forgot”
A New Year’s Blast brings the Brothers and Sisters in Hawaii together at Malia O Ka Malu Convent (sometimes called the ‘Party House’) on January 1, 2014.
After singing the grace, “Dona Nobis Pacem”, and enjoying a delicious Chinese luncheon, each one turned to his/her neighbor and together popped a paper log which revealed the gifts enclosed … a paper crown, jokes, games, etc. Sister Helene Wood then narrated the history of the well-known song “Auld Lang Syne” and the party concluded with everyone bursting out into song.

Bonds between Brothers and Sisters are strengthened not only in prayer and in ministry, but also in fun gatherings. Together they aim to ensure that ‘Old acquaintance be not forgotten.’
