EASTER GATHERING

It has become a tradition that the brothers of the Mexican Province gather together during Easter season to share the spirit of brotherhood and SSCC family. This time there were around 15 brothers from 19 to 23 May at the retreat house of the Carmelite Missionary Sisters in Tetelcingo Morelos. We spent the first two days for personal understanding of our sensations, emotions, feelings and passions. As well as relationship, communication and conflict resolution, all of these are of great importance to our community life. On the third day had a day outing together, we went to a spa near the retreat house, as it was important to have sharing among us and to relax together.
On Thursday and Friday were studied in depth the letter of the superior general sent us after his visit to Mexico and the observations made ??during the visit; despite having different views we let ourselves be led by the spirit on the letter to provide us with directions for our next provincial chapter to be held in January. We had also formed the Chapter Preparatory Committee who will encourage us and guide us in reflection for the decisions to be made. At the end we all went home happy and hopeful to be guided by the Spirit on our presence in Mexico.

YOUTH MISSION IN THE EXAMPLE OF DAMIAN OF MOLOKAI
In seeking to strengthen and promote our youth sscc presence in Mexico, a youth mission was conducted in Huitiupan at Easter 2014 in Chiapas, taking our brother Damien of Molokai as the figure to drive us. The mission was participated by DF youth communities : Reencuentro (San Isidro Parish), Hesed (Holy Trinity Parish), Ichtus Molokai (Precious Blood Parish), two young men from Guadalajara friends of brother Manuel (applicant), three ladies from Hidalgo invited by sscc sisters, and youth community of Sacred Heart from Huitiupan Chiapas. In total there were 60 young people who shared their faith in 15 indigenous communities of Chiapas.
Throughout Holy  Week the youth in the mission were sharing faith, friendship, and the encounter between communities. The young people returned with fervor and joy, they realized that the poor, the less fortunate came out to share what they had with the missionaries. In this sense, the youth agreed that their personal experience goes far beyond what they themselves expected. The mission and Damien continue to drive us to work together at inter-parochial level. The youth say, We see each other again at Pentecost!
