The community recently gathered for a momentous period of reflection, celebration, and fraternal joy, marking a significant milestone in the life of our Region: the Annual Assembly and the Silver Jubilee of Reverend Father Ajith Kumar Antonydass sscc.
SPIRITUAL RENEWAL AND FORMATION
The first two days of the Assembly were dedicated to deep spiritual enrichment and informative formation sessions, anchoring the community’s mission in faith and shared knowledge.
Enthronement of the Sacred Heart: This profoundly moving session was led by Sister Maria, MC. She guided the participants through the spiritual depth of consecrating communities and homes to the Sacred Heart, offering a beautiful reminder of Christ's central place in our daily lives and ministries.
The Secular Branch: Led by Sister Aurora Laguarda sscc, this session shed valuable light on the vital role of the Secular Branch. It provided rich, practical insights into how the laity and religious collaborate to live out the congregation's charism in the wider world.
REGIONAL GOVERNANCE AND ACCOUNTABILITY
The final day of the Assembly transitioned into a time of structural evaluation, transparency, and planning for the future. The community listened to two pivotal executive reports:
The Regional Community Report: Presented by the Regional Superior, Father Bala Singh sscc, this report evaluated the spiritual and pastoral well-being of the communities, outlining the achievements of the past year and mapping out the vision for future apostolic works.
The Financial Report: Presented by the Regional Econome, Father Robert Joshi sscc, this report offered a transparent and meticulous overview of the region's financial health, ensuring the responsible stewardship of temporal goods in alignment with our mission.
JUBILANT FELLOWSHIP AND RECREATION
Following the intense days of spiritual instruction and administrative business, the event culminated in two distinct celebrations of community life:
The Silver Jubilee of Fr. Ajith: The region joyfully celebrated Father Ajith’s 25 years of faithful, dedicated priestly ministry. It was a beautiful occasion to express deep gratitude for his years of selfless service, leadership, and spiritual guidance.
Regional Outing: To crown the entire event, the members enjoyed a wonderful one-day outing together. This time of shared relaxation, laughter, and informal fellowship served to strengthen fraternal bonds, leaving everyone refreshed and deeply united in their shared calling.
This gathering beautifully balanced spiritual depth, administrative fidelity, and joyful fraternity, setting a hopeful and inspired tone for the region in the year ahead.
