Profession and Assembly of Brothers, Sisters and Secular Branch in Mozambique

Between January 3 and 6, the annual Assembly of the zone of Mozambique took place at the Novitiate House in Boane. Thirty-one persons, brothers, sisters and sscc laity met for two days. Under the guidance of Albert Toutin sscc (Rome) they took up the theme of reparation in two sessions: “Entering the reparative love of Jesus” then “To do reparation and be affected by reparation in Community and Family.” On the third day the brothers took up the points on their own agenda: economy, life in the communities, evaluation of Provincial Chapter, pastoral life in the parishes and works proper to SSCC.

On Saturday January 6, Nito Sintura (23 years old) from Mozambique (Marromeu), Theophile Pater Kalala (22 years old) from the Congo (Kinshasa) began their Novitiate in a ceremony in the chapel of the Novitiate community. The provincial Jean-Bosco Elumba sscc presided and invited the new novices to “come and see” the Lord in our religious family.

Then, on Sunday January 7, Dança Roda (25 years old) from Mozambique, Emmanuel Tshumba (22) Isaac Tsasa (25) both from Congo (Kinshasa) made temporary profession at the parish of Blessed Anuarite. The provincial Jean-Bosco Elumba sscc presided. The assembly was made up of brothers and sisters sscc, religious of other congregations, sscc laity and parishioners, principally the youth.  The liturgy was well prepared and joyfully celebrated followed by a time of festivity at the house of the SSCC sisters right there in the parish.
