The perpetual profession of our brother Pablo Márquez Vázquez sscc was celebrated at 12:30 PM on June 1st, at Sacred Hearts Parish in Seville. Enrique Losada sscc, Superior Provincial, presided at the mass, also present was the Provincial Superior of the sisters, Nuria Arias sscc Those attending the celebration included brothers, sisters, ss.cc. laity and family and friends of Pablo. They came from Madrid, Malaga, Seville, Barcelona, Lisbon, Jerez, San Fernando y Salamanca. Missionary, Román Elizalde sscc was also among the concelebrants.
In his homily, Enrique gave an exegesis of the readings that had been proclaimed, including the gospel of the pierced Heart of Jesus, from which water and blood flow, the symbols of baptism and the Eucharist. He invited Pablo to lend a hand to his brothers in the Congregation and "not look at one another, but to look, as religious facing toward Jesus”. The Provincial also told some funny stories of experiences with Pablo.
In the thanksgiving, Pablo addressed his thanks to the Christ of the church of “my school”. He gave thanks for his family, especially his grandparents who pass on the faith to him, for his brothers and sisters and for his professors and friends. The Eucharist concluded with the assembly addressing a special prayer for the newly perpetual professed to the Blessed Virgin patroness of the School.
The celebration continued in the patio of the high school with aperitifs and a lively time together.
