
On Friday 8th December the perpetual profession of sister Amelia Mera Silva, took place in the Parish of Atotonilco de Tula, Hidalgo, México. Nurmy García, ss.cc. the provinical of the brothers presided at the celebration.
Amelia pronounced her vows into the hands of Emperatriz Arrobo, ss.cc., Superior General. Amelia was accompanied on this occasion by her parents, Guadalupe y Sebastián, as well as Candelaria Núñez, Superior Delegate of Latin America, Valéria Gómes dos Santos, Coordinator of the Territory of Peru-Brazil-Mexico and the sisters of the community of Atotonilco de Tula. Some Mexican sisters living in other countries were also present: Luisa Silverio, Gloria Gaspar and Dulce Mera.
Our Sacred hearts brothers Pedro Díaz and Manolo Torres also concelebrated, as well as the Parish priest, Fr. Flavio, Fr. Emilio, very dear to Amelia because he was her spiritual director, and Fr. Conrado, sj. It was a very moving celebration, taking place in a festive and family atmosphere.
Afterward the celebrations continued in Ajacuba, the birth town of Amelia, also in Hidalgo, enlivened by a group of Mariachis.
