The annual meeting of brothers and sisters of the so-called "second stage" was held at the residence of the sisters in San Lorenzo de El Escorial (Spain), 5-7 March. It was directed and animated by the Jesuit Antonio Guillén Paredes, an expert in the Spiritual Exercises.
Pope Francis’ letter to the consecrated people on the occasion of the Year of Consecrated Life was the topic of dialogue and reflection.
The facilitator encouraged everyone to examine by looking at "the past with gratitude, the present with passion and the future with hope." After a simple explanation of each section, brothers and sisters had a discussion in groups of two or three on issues which were summarized later on, to finish highlighting some important details.
There was a nice atmosphere, simple, spontaneous and participatory. The schedule was according to the rhythms of life and habits of the participants.
