The Team for the Spiritual Animation of the SSCC Secular Branch – ITALY (Rome)
The team met at the Brothers’ General House September 26-27. The team is comprised of Mary McCloskey, Elizabeth Smith and Consuelo del Saz (on the part of the sisters) and Camille Sapu and Felipe F. Lazcano (on the part of the brothers). This time, Consuelo could not come because she is recuperating from a knee operation.
The team worked principally on the details of the international meeting of the Secular Branch which will take place in El Escorial, (Spain) from July 24-29, 2017.
News from coordinators of the SSCC Secular Branch – USA (Hawaii)
The Annual Secular Branch Leadership Conference of North America-Pacific was held in Hawaii at St. Anthony's Retreat Center on Sept. 25-27, 2016. There were approximately 25 participants (Sector Coordinators of the West & Hawaii, Religious Mentors of the East, West and Hawaii, Observers-SB Members, Candidates and Sisters).
As assigned by the SB Animation Team, we developed a Guide for the topic: "Living of the Present", to be moderated and animated by the USA Coordinators at the 2017 SSCC Secular Branch Meeting in Spain.
The topic asks each sector attending the meeting to present on: Prayer Life, Community Life/Financial Solidarity, Apostolic Life and Formation (admission, initial and ongoing).
The conference also discussed the future for the sectors of the East, West and Hawaii, and then made a "commitment to the youth" as our priority.
