New presence of the Congregation in Lima, Peru (brothers)

On Sunday, February 2, the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts took the pastoral care of the parish of “Our Lady of Peace” in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho (Diocese of Chosica). In an emotional celebration the parishioners thanked for the 20 years of presence of the Columban missionaries and welcomed the religious of the Sacred Hearts. The Eucharist was presided by Archbishop Norberto Strotmann, who received the commitment of Fr. Paulino Colque ss.cc. as new pastor.

The parish “Nuestra Señora de la Paz” is located in a popular sector, comprising 27 chapels in an area with approximately 80,000 inhabitants.

The ss.cc. religious community consists of the priests Paulino Colque, Hilario Huanca and German Le Baut, and the brothers Brian Cruz and Germán Huanca.
