From April 8 to 11, the meeting of the General Governments of the Congregation took place at the house of the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart in Torricella in Sabina (Italy). After a time of integration, the gathering focused on reflections from the encyclical Dilexit nos, especially sections 1–47, 181–204, and 217–220.
Through the reflections of Patricia Villarroel and Alberto Toutin, two major themes were explored in depth: the experience of fraternity inspired by devotion to the Heart of Jesus, and the reparative dimension of the mission. A space was also opened to address issues related to the calendar and communication policy, with special attention to possible joint activities, particularly in the area of Youth and Vocational Ministry (YVM).
Evenings were enlivened by fraternal recreational spaces, including movies and songs. To delve deeper into the theme of reparation, the film Maixabel was shown. Based on true events, it tells the story of Maixabel Lasa, widow of Basque politician Juan María Jáuregui, who was assassinated by ETA. She was among the first victims to agree to meet with her husband's killers in prison.
