Meeting sscc laity works in Colombia (Brs)

Twenty laity of Colombia and Puerto Rico met September 25 and 26 on the farm, Los Olivos (Puente de Piedra, Colombia) in order to reflect and elaborate on some aspects of the Sacred Hearts spirituality in light of the contribution that Blessed Eustaquio van Lieshout made.

These are lay people committed to pastoral action carried out in works of the Congregation in Colombia in the parishes: Saint Damien of Molokai (Bogota), San Antonio de Padua (Mosquera Cundinamarca) and San Damian High School (Bogota), and in Puerto Rico, Sacred Hearts High School (Guaynabo) and Sacred Hearts Parish (Guaynabo).

The provincial superior, Arley Guarín sscc, and Luis Alfonso Padilla sscc were responsible for the integration of the group. Subsequently each of the representations of the parishes and schools present, presented the mission of the Congregation in these places. They reflected on the figure of Blessed Eustaquio with a biographical introduction by Isaac Moreno sscc and a talk by Luis Alfonso Padilla sscc. There was also a presentation on restorative Adoration by Arley Guarín sscc. There was also time for individual and group work,  Adoration and celebration of the Eucharist.

This was the first time a meeting of this kind was held and was highly appreciated by all.
