Japan prays for victims of Typhoon Yolanda (Brs)

You already know a lot about the Super Typhoon, Yolanda, which hit the Philippines. Some of our brothers such as Noel, Bambi [Abraham Aguinaldo], Lindo and J.M. [Jose Marie Dumagat] are from the area hit by it. The houses belonging to their families are somewhat damaged, but all the family members are safe and all right. Thanks be to God!

Our students in Damian Formation Center together with their classmates are doing volunteer works after their classes to help in the preparation of packages to be sent to the victims of Typhoon Yolanda.

I received an information from Kenji [Paul Kenji Honma] that many Filipino Catholics in Shinjo parish in Yamagata prefecture (Japan) are from the island of Leyte which was badly hit by the typhoon. I don't have detailed information yet on the damages experienced by their families.

We are joining in prayers with people for the victims of the calamities.
Fraternally in the Sacred Hearts,
John Yamada
