On 27 February, a Listening Centre was inaugurated in the city of Salamanca, with the aim of listening to people's pain, loneliness, grief and various life crises, always offering support based on closeness, respect and hope.
Our sister, Sister Mercedes Bayo Mayor, ss.cc. participated in the process of creating this centre through her service as episcopal delegate within the Diocese of Salamanca.
The newly inaugurated Listening Centre will be named after the former delegate of Caritas Diocesana de Salamanca, Carmen Calzada.
The Bishop of Salamanca, José Luis Retana, was present at the ceremony and blessed the Listening Centre.
We are very happy that the work and dedication of our sister Mercedes Bayo has led to such Sacred Heart initiatives, accompanying, repairing and caring for those who suffer.
