Feast of the Sacred Hearts and Secular Branch retreat (Poland)

From 10 - 13 June, 2021, a retreat for the Secular Branch was held at the Monastery of Christ the King, combined with the feast days of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  11 people participated and the retreat was led by Kamil Wawro sscc who accompanies the Secular Branch in Poland. It was a time for prayer, night adoration, walking and sharing faith and life experience.  On Thursday, 10 June, they celebrated mass in Stara Lomnica and the liturgy was held in honor of Saint Damien.  On Friday a mass and procession took place, presided over by Wojciech Kotowski sscc and, later, there was a community meal with the parishioners and guests. On Saturday the Eucharist and the procession were presided over by the Superior of the Monastery Fr. Kamil, and during this mass the members of the Secular Branch renewed their promises.  Later there was an opportunity to eat together al fresco. On Sunday, 13 June, all headed for Stary Wielislaw, where they prayed at the graves of the sscc brothers and participated in the Parish Mass.
