The sisters and brothers of the communities of Rome gathered on July 9 at the General House in Via Aurelia to honor Our Lady of Peace, patroness of the missions in our Congregation, and to celebrate the life of our brother Poldo Antolin sscc, on the day of his birthday.
The Eucharist was presided by Andrzej Lukawski sscc, who commented on the profound relationship between the liturgy of this day and that of Christmas, how this feast fits with Christmas and the birth of the Congregation. Sharing about the Queen of Peace as intercessor, he invited us to reflect on how to work for peace in a context of war and violence, starting with peace in our own hearts.
In this atmosphere of double celebration, we shared a delicious meal and dessert which, on this occasion, was prepared by Poldo himself with a special cooking recipe.
