Our brother Beltrán Villegas Mathieu, of the Province of Chile, was born on 20th May, 1919. One hundred years later we celebrated a life given in service of the teaching of sacred scripture. Christened Alberto at birth, Beltrán was the younger brother of 4 children born to Alberto and Amelia. Today he is living in the provincial house in Santiago in a state of reasonable health. He has limited mobility and understandably is affected by the ailments typical of a century of living.
A simple celebration was held for Beltrán in his community house. He was joined by his religious brothers, some of his family and lay people who work with him.
