On January 8, prior to the arrival of the body of our brother Tavite Uluilakeba sscc at Saint Joseph the Worker Parish, the Archdiocese of Suva paid a pastoral visit to the Tamavua community. Led by Archbishop Peter Loy Chong and accompanied by members of the Curia, the Sacred Heart Parish, and representatives from across the Archdiocese, the delegation gathered to express their condolences to the Provincial Superior, Fr. Lane Akiona sscc.
The Archbishop conveyed the unity of the Archdiocese with the Congregation in mourning the loss of our brother Tavite and expressed his sincere gratitude for his faithful service and his significant contributions to the life of the Archdiocese. Our Congregation is deeply grateful for this gesture of solidarity and for the Archbishop’s pastoral presence during this time of sorrow.
Tavite Uluilakeba, aged 39, passed away on January 1.
