For the second consecutive year, the Esteban Gumucio Cup was held, a sporting activity developed in the context of the commemoration of the birth of our Servant of God. On this occasion, it brought together the schools of the Sacred Hearts in Chile, who met on Saturday September 9 to play football and share faith and life.
This championship brought together staff and parents in both boys' and girls' categories. Nuestra Señora de la Paz school, of the SSCC sisters, won first place in the women's category and in the men's category, the winning school was the French Fathers of Viña del Mar. One of the organisers was the Vice Rector of Formation Álvaro Fernández from the SSCC French Fathers school in Viña del Mar, who was very happy for the fraternity of this sporting championship: "It is a nice opportunity to share among the SSCC schools around the figure of Esteban Gumucio, we hope that next year the SSCC school of Concepción and also the school of the Álvarez Sisters will join in, so that all the educational communities are represented," said Álvaro.
Ricardo Sotomayor sscc presented the cup to the winners, who enjoyed a social gathering to close this fraternal competition.
