On August 6, 2024, the Feast of the Transfiguration of Our Lord Jesus Christ, we had the privilege of welcoming Rajkumari Behera from India to begin her Novitiate in Manila, Philippines. The entrance ceremony took place during our evening prayer at the Chapel of the Novitiate in Manila. The Sisters from Bagong Silang, a volunteer from Germany, Sr. Josephine (a junior sister from Congo who is with us for an international experience), and Fr. Felipe joined us for the evening prayer.
During the prayer, Rajkumari Behera expressed her desire to begin her journey as a novice. Following this, Sr. Anastasia Puji Hastuti, the novice directress, presented the constitution that Rajkumari will read, study, contemplate, and live out. After the prayer, we continued with a simple family gathering over dinner. At the end of the gathering, Rajkumari Behera performed an Indian dance that added a special touch to our family gathering. We wish Rajkumari Behera a meaningful journey in the SS.CC. Novitiate in the Philippines.
