On the 30th of September 2016 in Kinshasa, in the community of the Sisters in Boboto, the Province of Africa had the joy of welcoming 12 young people who want to follow Christ, as postulants in the Congregation.
The Eucharist was presided by Fr. John Bosco Elumba sscc, Provincial Superior, in the presence of the Sr. Brigida Macamo sscc delegated by the Superioress of the the Delegation, Sr. Kabibi Bolema sscc who is currently in Mozambique.
During the celebration, our 12 youths (6 applicants for the brothers, Benjamin, Pacipio, Pagiel Michel Ignace and Pierre, and 6 more for the sisters, Regine, Naomie, Carlota, Julietta, Clarisse and Stella), officially made their entry the postulate. In his homily, the celebrant invited new applicants to be persistent like Job. The entrance to postulancy opens the door to a long road, a path along which we have to encounter all kinds of events. But most important is to have our eyes on the Lord. He also invited them to the example of St. Jerome, to love the scriptures and to meditate on them constantly, because it is the word that they will find everything they need to feed their vocation; as said St. Jerome, "Ignorance of the Scriptures is ignorance of God."
It is a joy for the Congregation and for each one of us to see God's action, especially when He touches the hearts of young people to be at his service. After Mass, we shared dinner together.
