Transfer of the relics of our martyred brothers from Picpus

We have just received this information from Bertrand Cherrier, Provincial Superior of France, in which he tells us about the transfer of the remains of our brothers martyred at Picpus:

"On 8 October this morning, the relics of the blessed martyrs of Picpus were transferred to Picpus.
In the presence of Canon Michel Esposito (episcopal delegate), the promoter of Justice Mgr Jean-Marie Dubois and the notary Mrs Laurence Nicolas-Vullierme, the remains were identified by the thanatopractors. Several brothers and sisters from the Congregation were present: Alberto Toutin (Superior General) and Andrzej Lukawski (Postulator General), Christian Flottes (civil representative for the transfer), Bernard Couronne and myself as witnesses. At the end of the day, we will sign the final document for the transfer before a notary at the Picpus Chapel.

The day will end with the celebration of the Eucharist and the placing of the reliquaries in the chapel showcase. Brothers and sisters who are in the Paris region are welcome to attend this celebration (7pm).

Here are the first photos from the beginning of the day.

After the prayer, the opening of the coffins begins. At the end of the morning and in the afternoon, the remains will be placed in the reliquary cases, on which the episcopal delegate will affix the seals.

On this solemn day for our Congregation, brothers and sisters, let us unite in prayer and ask our Holy Martyrs to intercede for us with the Father for each of our communities and our missions throughout the world.

In hope".
