On Thursday, August 20, the meeting of the Provincial Treasurers of the CIAL was held virtually, as part of the process leading up to the Conference's upcoming Assembly, to be held in November 2026 in Pindamonhangaba, Brazil. Also participating were Nacho Moreno sscc, General Treasurer, and Hilvar Loyaga sscc, Conference Coordinator.
Throughout the day, various matters were addressed related to accountability, the implementation of the unified model for the provinces, and the SSCC Global Fund. On this last topic, the General Treasurer shared relevant information about its origin, operation, participation criteria, and possibilities for joining.
The meeting was also an opportunity to share concerns, experiences, and challenges regarding the management of resources and their connection to the mission, highlighting the importance of living out this responsibility through solidarity, transparency, and shared responsibility, placing resources at the service of the life and mission of the Congregation.
The exchange gathered input for the upcoming Assembly and reaffirmed the importance of creating spaces for dialogue and coordination that strengthen interdependence among the provinces and allow the Congregation's resources to be placed at the service of the mission.
