On June 21st the new theologate house was blessed by Most Rev. Thomas D'Souza, the Archbishop of Calcutta. There was a three-day Assembly of the Region prior to the blessing, thus all the members of the region were present for this blessing along with four ss.cc. sisters and three pre-novices.
The house was inaugurated by the provincial delegate Fr.Sudhir Nayak and the Archbishop celebrated Eucharist for us. There were almost 40 priests of which 14 were ss.cc. priests. Also took part in the solemn ceremony were some religious, a good number of lay people from our parishes (Dum Dum and Serampore) and the local people. Altogether there were 325 people participated in this historical house blessing.
