The Interprovincial Conference of Latin America - CIAL is taking place this week at the SSCC House of Prayer in Conocoto, which is one of the 33 rural parishes of the Metropolitan District of Quito - Ecuador, from Monday 13th to Saturday 18th November 2023.
This CIAL assembly is the first to be held in person after the pandemic. The last one was held three years ago and in the meantime only (provincial) executive committee meetings were held by telematic means.
Among the concrete objectives of this day were the topics of initial and ongoing formation, financial matters, the renewal of internal offices, and the modification of the statutes to adapt them to the new times of the Church and society.
The assembly began last Monday with an opening mass followed by various presentations of the realities of the Latin American provinces and of the relevant topics indicated by the coordinator.
At the same time, and in the same house, the Third Assembly of the Latin American Zone of the SSCC Sisters' branch is being held.
