From April 4 to 6, the annual gathering for religious brothers over the age of 80 from the Iberian Province was held at the house in El Escorial (Spain). Brothers from various communities participated, including those from Jerez, Seville, Málaga, Madrid, San Víctor, and Torrelavega, along with those already residing in El Escorial.
The encounter began with moments of prayer and continued with formation sessions led by the Provincial, Pedro Gordillo, Julio García, and Pablo Bernal, who addressed current topics such as Artificial Intelligence, the encyclical Dilexit Nos by Pope Francis, and community life matters like “safe environments” and the “Code of Ethics.”
In addition to the formation sessions, the gathering included a cultural visit to Alcalá de Henares, where participants, guided by an expert, explored the city's historical heritage despite the rain. A fraternal atmosphere marked every moment of the event, and the logistical support provided by Miguel Díaz was key to its success. At the conclusion, all participants shared a very positive evaluation of these days of formation, fraternity, and shared rest.
