PRAYER WITH THE GOOD FATHER
God of Mercy,
We want to give you thanks
For the life and heritage
Of our Founder
The Good Father,
Who made the Bread of Life
From love and the Eucharist,
The centre of his generous self-giving
In your Son, Jesus Christ, he found everything,
He entered into the sentiments of his Heart
And discovered that nothing is compared
To the desire to love You.
With burning zeal for the mission,
He transmitted the Good News
To those who suffer, and to the weak.
In the image of the Good Shepherd.
He was always open
To the needs of the Church
Discerned in the light of the Spirit.
Adapting to the most diverse circumstances
He listened to your voice.
Together with the Good Mother, our Foundress,
He created a family
Formed through union and concord
Humility and simplicity,
With the consolation of the hope
of those who feel how much you love them.
He did not know the malice of violence,
On the contrary, united to the Cross of your Son
He became one with the men and women,
The victims of hate and injustice.
Lord, may we,
Follow in the footsteps of the Good Father,
Sisters, brothers and laity.
May we be faithful to your will.
Infuse us with your Spirit
So that we may extend
your Reign of peace and reconciliation to the world.
We ask this with Mary,
Model of faith in Love,
Our companion on the way.
