Acceptance to the Candidacy Program: Shanti Rani, Bhubaneswar, India

The sscc sisters of India have chosen the day of the World Day of Consecrated Life for the beginning of the Candidacy of 10 young women of the "Come and See" Program. They are: Ankita Kullu, Madhusmita Poricha, Ambika Nayak, Shreya Rani Nayak, Nishi Priya Digal, Manisha Baliarsingh, Selina Dandasena, Namrata Sabar, Sujata Sabar and Ritika Toppo. This ceremony was blessed with the presence of the community members, the Candidates, the hostel girls, Komal Didi our Lay Associate, with the Youth and Vocation Ministry Coordinator and her Team.

It was a privilege to begin this ceremony with adoration which was led by Sr. Sujata Jena the Superior of the community in our Chapel. This helped us to pray for every consecrated person especially for these little ones. Hostel girls had an inspiring experience to witness the Ritual of the acceptance to the Candidacy Program especially when each new candidate came to the altar, kneeling down read their chosen word of God, making promises to the Lord and asking his help to live it faithfully, acceptance by the formator to the Candidacy, receiving chain with Sacred Hearts medal. It was a surprising experience of God’s presence.  Their presence made us to feel like God must be telling to us:  they were lost but now they are found. This ceremony was organized by the formation team where Sr. Sangita Kullu the Coordinator of Youth and vocation Ministry facilitated this ceremonial event and finally, all new candidates cut the cake and we all enjoyed in congratulating and celebrating life.

We thank the Lord for choosing these 10 young and vibrant tiny seeds for his work, for their willingness to continue to journey in the Congregation, to know more about the Sacred Hearts Family. We rejoice how God has loved and led them up to this day and how they have trusted in Him and responded to His call. Let us pray that God, who has begun this good work in them will continue to accompany them and strengthen their vocation in their journey.
